Animal Collective’s “Merriweather Post Pavilion”
I'm not a huge fan of the Animal Collective, based on the fact that they just rip off the Beach Boys and use electronics, but the new record cover for Merriweather Post Pavilion is awesome. The cover was inspired by the work of a Japanese professor in Kyoto named Akiyoshi Kitaoka. Most likely you have seen these before and chances are he created it. He calls his work Anomalous Motion Illusion.
