Sigur Ros - Við spilum endalaust - A Take Away Show
“A trip across Paris in a van. Lost drumsticks. A cafe you’d never expect to visit before the age of 60. An hour of waiting, and then, voilà–a few notes on the harmonium, a grand piano, a heavenly voice. Sigur Ros on a Take Away Show.”

Wow. Elsa Mora (a.k.a Elsita) does all her work by hand with an x-acto knife. Other then these cut-outs, she made an interesting music box, Casa del Corazon. And here are some 3D paper sculptures, a must see. Wow again!

Striking beauty shots by Dutch photographer Sander Van Der Veen!

honda_let_it_shine

This is the new TV ad for the new Honda Insight, a hybrid car. They parked a huge grid of those cars in the desert and used the headlights as pixels to show this animation. The effect is pretty freakin impressive!

mona_greasa

Phil Hansen paints Mona Lisa from hamburger grease on paper... Grosss but interesting to watch, how he's able to give detailed shadowing of Mona Lisa’s face and hands with grease!

quote_of_the_day

So, I've heard this quote before and thought what a great time as any to hear it again - given yesterday's tragedy...
Thank you so much for talking with me, it meant a lot, every word you said. You're the best. I am so lucky to have such a wise bf such as you. Love you!

air_bear

On the streets of New York, Joshua Allen Harris creates inflatable animals by tying plastic shopping bags to the subway grates. When a metro passes by the air that comes thru the vent brings the bear to life! Inflatable subway art, genius!!
(tooo bad it isn't a PANDA burrr!)
