Thought I'd finish up this book we started reading together...
1 Peter chapter 5 was just what I needed this morning! Especially verses 5-10.

5 In like manner, younger men, be subject to elders; and all of you gird yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
6 Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time,
7 Casting all your anxiety on Him because it matters to Him concerning you.
8 Be sober; watch. Your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking someone to devour.
9 Him withstand, being firm in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being accomplished among your brotherhood in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, He who has called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and ground you.

5...This requires that we cooperate with God's operation, we must be willing to be made humble and lowly. 6 To be willing to be made low by God in His discipline is a prerequisite to being made high by God's exalting hand in His glorification.
7 The Sufferings experienced be the believers in their persecution cause them to worry and be anxious. Not only do we need to be humbled, to be brought low from our pride and haughtiness, but also to throw our life with its care upon God. He is not only mighty but also loving and faithful concerning us.
8 God's purpose is disciplining us, and His enemy's scheme- to destroy us.
If we would not be humbled and cast our anxiety's on God, we will be devoured by the 'roaring lion', the devil.. because pride and anxiety make us prey to satisfy the hunger of the roaring lion..
10 I appreciate that after suffering a little while we will have a bountiful and gracious supply of life that exceeds all your need. He will perfect, establish, strengthen, and ground you. This is all accomplished through His "all grace"-the Triune God.

I kept thinking/saying.. I wish I could get over my pride about this UCR matter, I think I am beginning to..

Today, I was taking calls at the helpdesk I work at. The caller was a man, and while helping him with his issue he suddenly stopped to tell me I had a nice soothing voice. Then he told me to say something else. As I continued to help him, he started making moaning noises. I'm a guy. FML

Today, I picked up my 4-year-old daughter from day care. As we're driving home, a butterfly lands on the windshield. Just as my daughter comments on how pretty the butterfly is, I turned a corner and accidentally hit the windshield wipers and smeared the pretty butterfly across the windshield. FML

Today, I got my belly button pierced. The guy put a small dot with a sharpie right above the center of my belly button so he knew exactly where to pierce. I also have a small freckle noticeably to the left of center of my belly button. Guess which one he pierced through. FML

Today, I moved out of my apartment and thought it would be nice to leave the roll of toilet paper in the bathroom for the next tenant. I later got a notice from the management that I was being charged $50 for leaving behind "personal items." FML

Today, my friend paypal'd me some money to tide me over until my school loans come through. For a transaction description, he wrote "to get back in that pussy game." It got red flagged, and I had to talk with three female customer service agents before it went through. FML

Today, while waitressing at the Mexican restaurant I work at, a customer walks up and asks me why an Asian is working at a Mexican restaurant. I say I don't know and he then starts calling me many derogatory Asian names and leaves. Funny thing is I'm not at all asian. I'm Mexican. FML

HE LIVES IN LA AND NY, BUT HE WENT TO SCHOOL IN PASADENA. THE REASON I POSTED HIS WORK, BESIDES THE OBIVIOUS AWESOMENESS, IS THIS PARTICULAR SERIS WAS SHOT AT THE COOL SPOT WE TOOK NIGHT PHOTOS AT IN COSTA MESA. SO FUN TO SEE IT DONE RIGHT! ;)

Krooples is a new label that carries amazingly perfect basics. They make that one basic that you've been looking for but could never find the one that was just right. It's kind of like APC but a little bit more edgy rather than prep. They seem to add the right detailing and cuts on the collars, materials and fit. To bad it's only in France. via
