HEDI SLIMANE

HEDI SLIMANE PHOTOGRAPHED SAM RILEY IN LONDON IN 2006. NOT ONLY IS THIS AN AMAZING SERIES OF BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHS, AND A PERFECT REMINDER OF ANTON CORBIJN 'CONTROL', ITS MOST IMPORTANTLY A PERFECT VISUAL AID TO EXPRESS MY LONELINESS AND SORROW AT THE MOMENT. ITS A DEEP CONTRASTY LONELINESS, MADE UP OF SELF REFLECTION AND EMPTINESS. I FIND THE DARK DRERY IMAGES A PARALLEL TO MY INNER CONFUSION AND LIMITED CONTROL. FOOD HAS NO TASTE, MUSIC IS DULL, CONVERSATION BECOME DISTANT, LIFE SUDDENLY FEELS LIKE A DRIZZLY DAY IN ENGLAND MADE UP OF GREY AND EMPTY.
