"The black widow never took the easy way out," proclaims the anonymous narrator on the newly released film starring the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. So it makes sense the aforementioned widow is played by the inimitable Karen O. The surreal black-and-white clip (directed by Barney Clay) also features guitarist Nick Zinner as a scientist and drummer Brian Chase in the role of a philosopher. With "SNAKESWEAT," Clay explores the notion of "losing your mind to recover purity of truth" through such visuals as burning dolls and bleached bones. But more importantly, it makes you wonder: doesn't Chase just look fantastic with a mohawk?
