GREG WILLIAMS

Greg's photographic style merges reportage together with cinematic lighting and composition. He began his career as a photojournalist, embedding himself in countries such as Chechnya and Sierra Leone throughout the 1990s. And then he switched to something a little less daunting: film sets. It was on those sets, capturing behind-the-scenes shots for entertainment magazines, that Williams came to appreciate cinematic lighting, an aesthetic he took with him when he decided to focus on portraiture. Because Williams wants his still images to look like movie scenes, it was a natural shift to filming with the Red, which he's been doing for a little more than a year
