Kraak & Smaak is a DJ/producing trio hailing from the Dutch city of Leiden.
Contrary to popular belief, Kraak & Smaak did not choose its name to phonetically resemble the words crack and smack. Kraak & Smaak comes from a Dutch proverb which means crunchy and tasty. The actual proverb is ‘kraak noch smaak’, which means if something has neither crunch nor taste, it’s like it’s nothing. They changed that around and made it sound more positive.
